Christmas Fun Day

Make Christmas extra special this year by attending the first Merthyr Tydfil Christmas Family Fun Day in three years. The seasonal fun starts at 11am with festive walkabout characters, including a stilt-walking musical toy soldier, Carol and Belle's Christmas Party, and the Christmas Nutkins, Santa’s grotto, a Farmers Market, a Christmas tree festival, and much more. Plus, back by popular demand, we have the hilarious Musical Ruth and her turbo-charged magical mobile piano - chock a block with your favourite Christmas songs, crazy dance routines, hilarious facial contortions and mad sound effects, all mixed up with oodles of festive cheer. Superhero Day

Calling all superheroes!! With great power comes great responsibility....Get the kids dressed up and ready to meet their favourite Superheroes. Join us between 11am – 3pm on Wednesday, 2nd November at Graham Way in the town centre when the mightiest heroes will fly into town for Merthyr’s very first Superhero Day. Superheroes, unite! Meet all your favourite superheroes, including Captain America, Spider-Man, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Iron Man, Harley Quinn, Star Wars Villian Kylo Ren, and every little girl's favourite heroine, Elsa. A Halloween Walk

Be afraid, be very afraid!! Where better to celebrate Halloween than on a spooky walk with local historian Huw Williams? Wear your Halloween costume (or something dark) and walk in the scary footsteps of ghosts and ghouls with a visit to a cholera cemetery and a poor law workhouse, listen to creepy tales and walk ghoulishly dark back alleys. What horrors await you? All ages are welcome, whether you’re a grown-up ghoul or a tiny terror. The tour is free and will last approximately 2 hours.
