There will be music workshops, curious crafts, herbs and heritage, a monologue, a choir, artefacts (including full-size swords and shields), historical and traditional face painting, and much more! The town of Merthyr Tydfil is said to be named in honour of Tydfil, daughter of King Brychan of Brycheiniog, as the place where she was slain and martyred c.480 (Merthyr meaning martyr in Welsh).
