Make Christmas extra special this year by attending the first Merthyr Tydfil Christmas Family Fun Day in three years.
The seasonal fun starts at 11am with festive walkabout characters, including a stilt-walking musical toy soldier, Carol and Belle’s Christmas Party, and the Christmas Nutkins, Santa’s grotto, a Farmers Market, a Christmas tree festival, and much more.
Plus, back by popular demand, we have the hilarious Musical Ruth and her turbo-charged magical mobile piano – chock a block with your favourite Christmas songs, crazy dance routines, hilarious facial contortions and mad sound effects, all mixed up with oodles of festive cheer. Special versions of Jingle Bells, Little Donkey, and Mistletoe and Wine are just some of the Christmas songs performed by Sister Ruth, the madcap nun, providing a heaven-sent strike of seasonal light relief.
The fun moves to Penderyn Square in front of Redhouse from 5.00pm, ready for the big countdown at approximately 5.30pm with Capital FM presenters Josh and Kally and Santa Claus himself as they prepare to light up Merthyr.
Parking is FREE in the town centre pay and display car parks, so there is no need to rush, just relax and make a day of it!
