If you love food, you will love the Merthyr Food Festival!

Merthyr Tydfil’s tastiest festival returns to the town centre on Saturday, 20th July. With over 40 scrumptious vendors to browse during the event, including Little Grandma’s Kitchen, The Garlic Farm, Chef Bernies Sauces, Penylan Preserves, Haystack Cafe, Lili Wen Welshcakes, Choc Shop, The Fudge Foundry, Gareth’s Delicious Delights, Papa Moonshine, Spirit of Wales Distillery, and Austringer Cider, you will find inviting dishes and produce such as cheeses, pasta, noodles, pizza, curries, Persian stews, farm-reared meats, organic fruit and veg, vegan dishes, pickles, chutneys, sauces, jams, marmalades, handmade chocolates, fudge, Welsh cakes, brownies, crepes, cheesecakes, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, plus many other goodies. Those looking for a tipple can head to the alcohol stalls, which will serve up spirits, beers, ciders, and cocktails.

Amongst the food & drink stalls, you will find lots of free family entertainment that is certain to bring a smile to the faces of children and adults alike, including live music from local bands, face painting, balloon modelling, a walkabout magician, street entertainers, and so much more – A flavoursome event that the whole family can enjoy.

The festival makes for a pocket-friendly family day out. Entry to the festival is completely free, and it’s just £1 to park all day in the town centre pay & display car parks.
