Getting Here

By car

Getting to Merthyr Tydfil by car couldn’t be easier. From the east, exit the M4 at junction 32 and take the A470. From the west, exit the M4 at junction 43 and take the A465.

The Midlands and M5 are easily accessed via the M50, A40 and A465 Heads of the Valleys road, which are largely dual carriageway. The excellent road network means that Merthyr Tydfil is within easy reach from many towns and cities.

Hereford ~ 1 hour

By bus

Merthyr Tydfil bus station is in the heart of the town centre with easy access to all our shops and services. There are buses every 15 minutes to Cardiff whilst other regular services link to Brecon, Llandrindod Wells, Abergavenny, Hereford and Pontypridd amongst others. By train

There is a train service every ½ hour between Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff with the journey taking 1 hour. From Cardiff, you can connect to the national rail network. Merthyr Tydfil train station is in the middle of the town centre with easy access to the shops via Beacons Place or to the southern end of the town centre via the Masonic Street steps.
